This is your time to own a robot vacuum. CNET's top-rated models are on sale this Black Friday and Cyber Monday with savings of up to 57%.

It also self cleaning vacuum cleaner-empties itself and automatically refills its water tank.

1. Roomba j7+ iRobot from iRobot.

The Roomba j7+ is iRobot's smartest robot vacuum to date. The most significant advancement, however, is its camera-based obstacle-detection system. It uses AI to detect objects like charging cords and shoes. It's the first robot cleaner commercial to send you pictures of the objects that it encounters, so that you can instruct the robot to stay clear of it.

The Combo J7+ is the best robot mop we have ever tested. It cleans up dirt and spills quickly and leaves no trace of it was there. It's easy to control using the iRobot Home app, which lets you schedule cleaning and create Keep Out Zones to ensure it doesn't vacuum areas you do not want it to. It's compatible with Alexa or Google Assistant so you can start it and stop it by voice.

Its design is also an improvement over the rest, with a sleek top piece that appears more like a toy robot than a loud, obnoxious one. Clean Base's Automatic Dirt Disposal It also self-empties which can cut down on cleaning time.

In our tests the j7+ was quick to pick up and remove dust dirt, pet hair and other particles. The counter-rotating rubber brush roll kept the debris in one location instead of scattering it around the floor washing robot. It was able to capture sand, small gravel and even a tiny bit of grit. Most robots can't do this. And all of this without getting caught in our pet's hair shedding.

While it's not quite as smart as the $1,217 iRobot Roomba s9+ Auto-Emptying Vacuum, and it's not able to clean stairs, the j7+ is still an excellent choice for those who require both a vac and a mop in their home. It's not expensive and the iRobot App makes it easy to use.

The iRobot Home App is easy to use but we found it less reliable as other robotic cleaner apps. It can take a while to download updates, and at times it's difficult to tell if the update is actually functioning until you've seen it in the action.

2. Roborock Q5+

If you're looking for a robotic vacuum cleaner that can do more than simply clean your floors, a hybrid is the best choice. This kind of robot usually has a built-in water tank, meaning they can both mop and vacuum your home at the same time. They also come with various additional features like smart mapping, small object avoidance, and the ability to wash and re-dry mopping pads. They are expensive at full retail but often come down in price on Black Friday or Cyber Monday.

Roborock produces some of our most loved Robotic vacuum cleaner comparison vacuums and the Q5+ is no exception. fail to impress. This is the least expensive model in their auto-empty line. Although it might not include some of the expensive features (like no-go zones or multi-story memories), it's still an excellent option when you're willing to make a few compromises to save a few bucks.

The Q5+ is exceptionally gentle when it comes down to obstacles like table legs and walls. This makes it an ideal option for homes with many furniture pieces. It's also very thorough when it comes to cleaning dust bunnies, which is a place which many robot vacuums fail. The navigation technology in the Q5+ is superb as well, with only a few misses in corners and along walls.

The Q5+, just like other Roborock products can be controlled with just a few buttons on the device or through the Roborock App. The app lets you start and stop cleanings. You can also set up schedules, create virtual barrier and no-go areas, alter your home map, or change the room's label.

If you decide to go with the Q5+ model, it comes with a brand new auto-empty dock, which was specifically designed to make the machine easy to maintain. It requires a screwdriver install, but once it's in place, emptying the bin is simple. It also has a large LCD display, which is nice to have when creating schedules or changing settings. This feature isn't essential for everyone, but it can help you easily keep the robot's maintenance schedules.

3. Narwal Freo X Ultra

The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a sophisticated, well-rounded vacuum and mop. It's capable of both vacuuming and mopping. Its design and function are some of the best on the market - but it's also pricey.

It is a relatively small base station that looks stunning and is easily hidden when not in use. But the station's biggest selling feature is the way it automatizes various tasks and functions that other robots will leave to you. It can store clean and dirty water and electrolyze and heat the water. Many other robots require you to do this.

Its vacuuming is also impressive. It's one of the only robovacs that I've tested that do an excellent job of picking up debris on plain floors, and is not as loud as the more expensive Roomba 980 or iRobot 900 series.

The Freo X Ultra is not without faults, particularly when it comes to navigation. The laser and LiDAR sensors aren't as reliable as other robovacs, meaning it sometimes gets stuck or confused in certain rooms or corners of the home. It also can't climb stairs as well as other competitors and doesn't come with a dock to create a cleaning area for carpets with plush padding.

Although it doesn't provide the same amount of cleaning-related options in its app or as many shortcuts in the app as other robovacs, the Freo X Ultra is still a top choice for those seeking a great all-round robot vacuum and mop that's worth the premium price cost.

If you're looking to save some cash or don't want to think about the limitations of this machine there are many other great choices available, including a lot of eufy models priced considerably less. The eufy Qrevo Curv, for example is less expensive and provides the same experience in the app, but with additional features such as the ability to climb stairs, a full-function dock, and a better overall performance when vacuuming floors and low and high-pile carpets.

4. Eufy RoboVac G30

eufy, an Anker company, has a track record of making robot vacuums that strike the perfect balance between performance, features and price. The G30 Hybrid offers a powerful cleaning power for hard and carpet floors, as well as mopping functions at a reasonable price. It's easy to set up, simply connect one of the side brushes and turn it on, then connect the charging dock. The app will guide you through the steps needed to connect your G30 to your Wi-Fi. You'll need to place the dock near a power outlet and ample space for it to move, however.

The G30 is a compact device, measuring 2.85 inches in height, which means it will be tucked away under couches and pieces of low-clearance furniture. The design is more modest than other models, and features a sleek black finish and three buttons that are physical: Auto Cleaning start/pause, Recharge and Spot Cleaning (which scrubs an area in a spiral pattern for two minutes). It is also possible to connect the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home to conduct cleaning without a schedule using voice commands.

The main aspect that sets the G30 above the rest is the way it cleans. It uses a built-in mapping to create an image of the immovable objects it encounters while retaining what it's cleaned and where it can't access. When it's time to recharge, it returns to its base and resumes cleaning from where it started.

The eufy G30 has its flaws however. The iRobot Roomba is better built and has lower monthly costs. It is faster to charge, has the same battery life and is more effective on bare floors or low-pile carpet. It has a bigger dust bin that does not require as much emptying. It also comes with boundary strips that keep it from certain areas. The G30 is cheaper and easier to maintain. Its smaller dust canister does not require emptying as often and it struggles less with bulky material like cereal.
