Volvo drivers love the remote control features of their key fob. With a smartphone app they can lock and unlock the car as well as start the engine and even locate it.

First, put the key fob on a clean work surface with the logo facing upward. Find the button to let it go. Put a coin between the fob cover and the fob, and gently pull it up.

Remove the cover on the back of the key fob with your fingernail. Under the cover and on a diagonal at the body's edge, you will find a button. Slide it downwards and to the right. The cover will fall off, and then slide off revealing the manual blade! If you are still unable to locate the button, you can search the newly revealed manual key access to see whether there's a hidden slot or lever.

Closing the Windows

One of the lesser-known features on volvo excavator key key fobs is that they allow you to open all windows at once using them. This is useful when trying to squeeze into a tight parking spot, or even just when you're in need of fresh air inside the cabin while driving.

To unlock the windows you need to press and hold the unlock button on your Volvo remote for four seconds. This will lower all the windows, and the sunroof in case your car comes with one. Then, when you're finished with the car, you can close everything by pressing the lock button a second time for four seconds.

You can also activate the panic alarm inside your car with the key fob. It will create an alarm that is loud enough to attract attention and deter thieves. Turning off the Alarm

Find a smooth surface and lay out your key fob, battery, and other keys. Place the key fob on the surface with the Volvo logo facing up and then locate a tiny black button to the bottom left of the fob and slide it downwards and to the right. The cover should fall off and expose the key blade's mechanical structure beneath.

You can unlock all doors and the reargate by pressing the unlock button on the fob's key twice. The lock button also shuts the sunroof and windows (if equipped) by pressing it for 2 seconds. Connect the battery and the alarm will stop. If it doesn't, then the owner's manual should include a method to reset the alarm.
